In our triumphant and auspicious China, and at the time when spring which breeds infinite vitality and hope is approaching, we are solemnly celebrating the 10th anniversary of CARRIE Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. in Ningxiang, the hometown of comrade Liu Shaoqi. Today, we have all honorable friends here. I hereby would like to, on behalf of all staff, extend a warm welcome and express my hearted gratitude and the highest respect to leaders, distinguished guests, and all colleagues who are attending the ceremony!
On the same day ten years ago, CARRIE was born.
It takes ten years to sharpen a sword. Over the years, the number of employees in CARRIE has grown into more than 100 starting from the five people at its start-up; the registered capital has increased from RMB 500,000 to RMB 30 million; the annual volume of business has augmented from hundreds of thousands to more than RMB 1 billion of revenue; starting from scratch, in the area of intellectual property rights, we has already obtained dozens of core technologies and patented technologies; the products has flourished in four categories: ladle cars, holding tanks, tractors and crane lorries, starting from the single ladle cars with trailers; the markets have been expanded from black metallurgy to non-ferrous metallurgy, and from domestic market to international market… Roaring all the way, CARRIE is coming.
It is said that CARRIE has helped children in the mountains step onto the stage of the world, because some kids who used to make a living by cutting wood in the mountains, after his experience and training in CARRIE, has signed the first export order in the overseas market on behalf of CARRIE. It is also said that CARRIE is someone who is running in tears, because there are too many grievances and hardships along the way; nevertheless, we will still forge ahead in tears without hesitation. Again, it is said that CARRIE is more like a school, because it advocates the simple philosophy that an employee should do one good deed and love one person in his/her whole life. CARRIE thanks you, because without your toils and sweats along the way, CARRIE cannot have what it has today. Your names will be imprinted in the history of CARRIE.
What’s more, we will not forget the large number of loyal customers who have been accompanying, trusting and supporting CARRIE over the past decade. Without your propelling and understanding, CARRIE could not have her past decade, her successes ten years later, or the celebration we are holding today. It is you, together with CARRIE people, who have erected one market monument after another, and created the myths of products, from design concepts to design schemes, and then to product realization and use, starting from scratch, so that the situation that trolley transport equipment had been under the reins of foreign companies in the history of the metallurgy industry in China was rewritten. CARRIE and her staff are grateful to you, for your decisions without regret have nurtured the pride of one of the national industries.
Ten years later, CARRIE has grown mature, because she has not only felt thank and grateful, but also learned to appreciate favors. Their choice of settling down in Ningxiang, Hunan, has undergone some ups and downs. It was the determination of Hunan in creating two types of societies and the call-up of the governments of all levels of Ningxiang county, especially Ningxiang Economic Development Zone that allowed CARRIE to see the advantages in policy, human resources, research, supply and other regional advantages in Hunan, and feel the power coming from the government and the society, through which CARRIE has realized more than ever that the development of any enterprise is inseparable from the care and support given by the party, the government and all circles of life. Therefore, CARRIE learned to appreciate the favors offered by the party, the government, the society, the times, and all friends who have been supporting CARRIE in her progress.
“Idle boast the strong pass is a wall of iron, with firm strides we are crossing its summit.” Looking ahead, CARRIE still has long way to go, too many things to do, and too many ideals to realize. The 10th anniversary ceremony is both a milestone along the road of the company’s development, but also a new starting point where we are standing with pride and enthusiasm. We believe that under the care of leaders at all levels, under the support of all our partners, and through the joint efforts of all our staff, CARRIE will become more passionate and powerful, to conquer one after another summit of science and technology, and create one after another miracle in the earthly world.
